Appointed Positions
  • External Relations Director, appointed by majority vote of the executive
  • Editor for The Alberta Science Teacher, appointed by majority vote of the executive
  • Editor for Alberta Science Education, appointed by majority vote of the executive
  • ATA Staff Advisor, appointed by Provincial Executive Council, ATA
  • Alberta Education Representative (non-voting), appointed by Alberta Education
  • PEC Liaison Representative (non-voting), appointed by Provincial Executive Council
  • Post-Secondary Liaison, appointed by majority vote of the executive
  • Conference Director
  • Assistant Conference Director

Responsibilities
*Represent the interest of science teachers in their respective disciplines
*4-5 meetings per year plus science conference
*2 article submissions for newsletter
*Assist with finding speakers for conference
*Helping build + maintain online resource database
