ATA Science Council

The ATA Science Council is an organization operated by science teachers for science teachers, to promote, support and enhance the teaching of science in Alberta, Canada. From organizing conferences to looking after professional concerns, we have always worked hard to keep teachers and students as the most important aspects of our mandate.

Benefits of Being a Member

  • Be involved in opportunities that enable collaboration and sharing with other science teachers
  • Have reduced registration fees for conferences and workshops
  • Attend workshops and seminars organized by the ATA Science Council
  • Receive a hardcopy of our "Alberta Science Teacher" and The "Alberta Science Education Journal" publications
  • Be eligible to become a Science Council Executive Member

How to Become a Member

Active members of the Alberta Teachers' Association are eligible for one free regular membership in any specialist council. If this is the second specialist council you are registering in, it is $35.00 for the year. Student members are also eligible for one free regular membership in any specialist council.
